There are so many types of poly bags out there, that we use daily. From flat bags to gusseted bags, food grade plastic bags to postal approved poly mailers… Most commonly used types of plastic bags are listed below:
Flat Poly Bags
A flat plastic bag has 2 dimensions — width & length. A flat bag can be heat sealed, tied, stapled, or taped shut. They can be used for storing food, electronics manufacturing, hospitals, agriculture,…. Flat plastic bags can be used virtually anywhere.
Flat Poly Bags on a Roll
Flat plastic bags on a roll has perforation line connecting bags together with bottom seal line. Flat bags can be easily torn off to open and use. In case customers want to expand the volume of the bags without changing the size (width and length), we can produce it with side gussets. This type of bag is usually used as food storage bag, mostly provided in supermarkets, grocery stores, etc.
Reclosable Poly Bags
A reclosable plastic bag is any bag manufactured with a standard zip track closure or slider zip closure. Also known as Ziplock bags, resealable bags, zip lock plastic bags, or secure bags. Resealable bags have a number of applications ranging from food storage, small parts, manufacturing, electronics, and many others.
Gusseted Bags
Gusset bags have been made with a tucked in pleat and pressed flat. This allows the bag to expand, providing the it with greater capacity and helping it keep the shape of a box. A gusseted bag can be heat sealed, tied, stapled, or taped shut. Gusseted plastic bags are also known as flat bottom bags. Gusseted poly bags make great ways for storing food, electronics manufacturing, hospitals, agriculture, and clean room technology. Gusseted poly bags can be used virtually anywhere.
Gusseted Bags on a Roll
Gusseted bags on a roll are a continuous roll of seamless tubing perforated under a bottom seal. These plastic bags must be torn off to open and use. Expandable pleat on both sides of the bag allowing lots of room for bulky, square and odd items.
